Summary of Function:

The EHS Manager is key to fostering and encouraging a safety culture that keeps our employees alert, aware, and properly trained to handle and mitigate risks associated with operations. Through the efficient and effective deployment of the department plans, seeks continuous improvement of the main key performance indicators for safety, health, environment and CSR. The manager will work closely with all departments in maintaining the company’s ISO 14001 environmental system and sustainability programs.

Primary Functions:

Champions continuous improvement of EHS related activates.
Implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and Sekisui Corporate initiatives.
Responsible for the development and management of all safety and environmental training utilizing the on-site safety training center.
Trains, supports, and guides operations employees and management on EHS activities.
Identifies safety and environmental risks and leads improvement initiatives.
Manages all permits, reports and applications for MDEQ. Assures conformance with federal, state, and municipal legislations and regulations regarding environmental control.
Leads and manages the internal audits, Insurance audits, and Corporate audits to ensure compliance with internal requirements
Inspects workplace environment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
Leads company activities to develop Zero landfill initiatives.
Develops and manages departmental business plans and budgets including capital expenditures.


Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental or Engineering related discipline
5+ years of relevant EHS experience, including 2 years in a management role
Safety Related Certification (preferred)
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and Kaizen Principles.
ISO14001:2015 Internal Auditor (preferred)
Must have advanced knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements.
